The factory was established on 2,000,000 m2 outdoor and 400,000 m2 indoor space.
The company produces nearly 13.000.000 pcs of tires per year and employs 2150 people are working.

Because of the embargo applied to Turkey after Operation to Cyprus in 1974, a new approach emerged towards meeting the needs of the defense industry with national resources and Petlas Tire Industry and Trade Company was founded in 1976 as a State Economic Enterprise, in order to supply military aircraft tires for Turkish Air Force.
First military aircraft nose tire produced and Turkish Armed Forces started use that tire in 1993.
The privatization process took place from 1990 to 1997, and then accomplished with transfer of shares to a company by Privatization Institution.
The company put the “Voyage to Quality” in force as a part of “Strategic Action Plan” on 1st of April 1998, deemed quality very important. In the framework of this plan, Starmaxx developed its buyer network, sales and production level. So the quality level and customer satisfaction increase more and more each day.

Awarding Of Iso 9001 Quality System Certificate
ISO 9001 Quality System Certificate was awarded by German originated RW TÜV / TÜV CERT in 1998
AQAP-110 Industrial Quality Level Certificate was awarded by Ministry of National Defense and Under secretariat of Defense Industry in 1999.
The company started to implement European Foundation For Quality Management Perfection Model in 2001
ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate was awarded by RWTUW in May of 2004.
AWARDING OF ISO 9001: 2000 QUALITY SYSTEM CERTIFICATE
After remaining a part of a company from 1997 to 2005, it was token over ABDÜLKADİR ÖZCAN ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, leading tire company of Turkey in 2005.
With increasing demand to high powered tractors the company has started to produce IF tires.
As a result of demand to all weather tires the company has started to produce ST582 Maxx Out tread design.
